Being gay is hard!! It’s a hard path to walk. Yes, these days there is this whole lgbt media plot that protrays an image of happy smiling couples at pride parades. In reality though, every gay person I’ve ever met is traumatized in some form or fashion. Suicide and suicidal thoughts, anxiety and depression, basically all forms of mental health struggles are so much higher in the lgbt community. It’s not that straight people never struggle, it’s just a fact that most people who identify as other than straight have it that much harder emotionally and mentally. No one just wakes up one day and says ‘yep, think I’ll decide to be gay today, that looks like fun’. No, most gays I know feel like they didn’t have a choice how they are, and they can’t be any other way.
If you are really brutally honest with yourself though, being ‘true to yourself’ has not carried you a single step closer to actually being sustainably happy, and that has a whole lot more to do with what’s going on inside than any judgment or rejection you’ve faced in the world. You just can’t seem to feel completely right with yourself! You can say all day how out and proud you are, but that’s never the whole story. The rest of the story is you are alone in a crowded room, and all you’ve ever craved is to just be loved but things never work out, and the thoughts you think about yourself at the lowest times scare the daylights out of you!
What no one talks about is that the love you are looking for can’t be found in another human being. It’s the love of our Creator that’s missing, and no matter how hard you try, nothing is going to fill that void except Him!
This is the heart of the matter. I think, if you were happy in that lifestyle, you would have stopped reading already. If you are still here, then I’m guessing you know the kind of pain I’m talking about, and you would give as much as I was willing to give to be free of it. In other words, Literally anything!
Are you desperate enough yet?!
Remember that saying, the first step is admitting you have a problem? Well, for anyone trying to get free of sin, the first step is realizing the problem isn’t all you! There is a reason you feel like you didn’t have a choice! You have been influenced by the demonic. Now that you’ve confronted those lies, and you’ve repented and renounced all the ways your past allowed the demons in, you’ve got to contend with actually getting free and staying free and you can not do that alone!
When you’ve got supernatural problems, you need supernatural solutions!
There is so much debate that surrounds this topic. Bottom line is, no matter if you are oppressed by outside influences or possessed by internal influences, or you just plain need Jesus to set you free from things you could never free yourself from…it’s all dealt with in the same way.
The term is deliverence, which by definition is to be rescued or set free. It requires strong faith paired to the mighty name of Jesus! See, when we have a relationship with Jesus, we are given the spiritual power to use His name to fight the enemy. There is no other name the enemy cowers to, but the name of the one who has already defeated satan by sacrificing Himself on the cross for all mankind! That was the love that changed everything! That is the name that gets the job done every time!
Acts 3:6-8 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.
When you walk with Jesus, and His Holy Spirit lives inside of you, you are authorized to use the power He has! You have authority. When you combine that authority with an absolute faith that what God says is truth and there is no question about it, things happen.
Mark 11:23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
That kind of faith comes from reading your Bible every day, and seeing the things it says actually happening in your life! That’s when you don’t just believe with your mind, you believe with your whole being! You have to Encounter God to know how much He will do to get you free, and how much He Wants you free. Until you truly believe that, doubt will block the blessings in your life every single time.
Ezekiel 33:11 Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’
God wants His people free, and He will do just that for you when you let Him. Deliverence is more than simply saying ‘Im done with that life’. Deliverence is when the power of God, a supernatural power that far exceeds anything we can do on our own, takes over and says ‘hands off! This one belongs to Me!’. To access that, you’ve got to both truly know it’s happening and you’ve got to let that power take over everything you’ve ever known.
I’ve gone through deliverence with someone praying over me, and I’ve gone through deliverence at 2 am all by myself just crying out to God and saying out loud that In the name of Jesus, I am free. If you know someone who is strong in the word of God and you’d prefer they pray for you, that’s ok. If you prefer to pray by yourself, that’s ok too. If you don’t have anyone to pray for you, and you aren’t sure how to do it alone, you can message me at declaredfree1521@gmail.com. I’ll pray with you.
I’ve been there, I get it, and I know what it’s like to just want to know peace and joy and to always wonder why everything has to hurt so much. I’m here to tell you that single thing that took me so long to figure out..
With God, oh the joy and the peace are constant! The hurt inside is gone! The loneliness in a crowded room, all the feelings that no one understands, All of it got washed away on a random June day when God delivered me.
He absolutely will deliver you too, you just have to believe.
Mark 9:23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
